How long has it been…

…since you wrote a letter to a human (on-yes-paper), placed it in an envelope, addressed it, stamped it, and mailed it?

…since you told someone you are not related to that you love them?

…since you made out (and that’s it) with your significant other?

…since you let someone go in front of you in line?

…since you bought flowers for no particular reason?

…since you gave more than five minutes of undivided, eye-contact-full attention to your child?

…since you noticed the lady bugs on your windowsill, or the spider on your windshield making lacy patterns in the dew?

Just some ruminations. Things have been tough around here (financially) and it’s leaving me uninspired and unable to concentrate on anything other than the essentials. This morning, nursing the baby while we dozed away the snooze, I was reminded of some of these things. Sometimes it’s the moments. And I am thankful.

I’m sorry you’re having troubles. I know that can be scary. I’m glad you are getting to enjoy the babies, though.

  2. money can sometimes suck the beautiful right out of life… good to remember the simple beautiful things in life. Also as long as you pay the rent the rest can go to pot. They can take away stuff but not your family..

Thanks, A, Mojavi. Sometimes it’s hard to see the silver lining but we always manage. The good things make our getting out of bed in the morning worth it.
