The best kind of I.D.

(In the car, on the way to daycare before work).

Me: Oops. I left my university ID at home.

St. Adelaide the Righteous: What’s an ID, Mommy?

Me: Umm…like a card that tells people who you are. You’ve seen mine, the one that has my picture on it?

St. A: Yeah.

Me: Well, I use it at school so people know who I am.

St. A: You could take me.  I know who you are.
