I am with you on this issue sister. While he is quite the smooth operator, he will not be getting my vote. While I can be friends with people that I don’t agree with on political even moral issues, I can not and will not vote for someone who is this far off from my moral center.

Truly it’s a shame. When he first came to my attention I was really excited about his candidacy possibility until I delved a bit deeper into where he stood on key issues. It’s not the abortion issue alone that bothers me about him.

That being said I believe that this is going to be an exciting election. My husband and another friend of ours just became US citizens this year and are very excited about the processes and issues swirling around the next few weeks. Their excitement has rubbed off on me a bit. What before was just my civic duty now has a bit more “shine” to it.

I know what you mean about the initial excitement. I, too, had great hopes for Obama, but I know what you mean about delving deeper. It’s a shame that the pool’s only a few inches deep.
And yes, exciting election! Thanks for commenting.
